Our Story

Founded in 2023, Shed It Solutions grew out of the first-hand experience of our owners.  What started out as a married couple living comfortably in a typical family house quickly became a family of five cramped in a house filled with clutter.  

First the addition of one child, then a second, and then a third.  With each additional child and the constant growth that occurs, came more and more clutter.  First the spare bedroom could no longer function as an office and the computer desk was moved to the den.  Then the den began filling up with toys and the computer desk was moved into the dining room and the dining room table went away.  Next the dining room started to fill with toys and the computer desk started to pile higher and higher with arts and crafts.  

At the same time the ever-growing children were outgrowing their clothes.  This meant bin upon bin upon bin filled up quickly to save the clothes for the next child to grow into.  Not only had the living spaces of the house been overcome by toys but the basement was now bursting with storage bins.

Our founders would not trade one minute of the joy a house filled with children and laughter brought about.  But something had to be done.  An additional space was obtained to store the outgrown clothes, used toys, and furniture that would one day be utilized again.  As items were transported to storage the junk that was mixed in was discovered and discarded.  The service was then shared with close family and friends who saw the immediate decluttering take place.  Shed It Solutions was born!

Worldwide Impact

At Shed It Solutions, we personally understand what it means to have life happen and that as life happens so does the accumulation of belongings.  We understand that some of these items are keepsakes that you want to hold onto forever while others are items you need to store away to use a few years down the road.  However, as this accumulation occurs we know that junk also gets mixed in with these valuables that will need to be Shed.  While this is a problem all too many face, and what gave birth to Shed It Solutions, we know that around the world there are children who could only dream of finding themselves in a similar situation or would be thrilled to be surrounded by the items we deem as junk.  That is why we have made a commitment to having a worldwide impact.  When you Shed with us you are not only decluttering your life but are giving to a child in need.  For each new customer, Shed It Solutions will donate either one item of clothing or one toy to orphanages around the world.
